Hip Carry

Hip Carry

This seems to be the most common and natural way of carrying a child. When you see parents carrying their child – without a wrap or sling – the baby usually rides on the parent’s hip while the adult holds and supports her/him with his arm. When you place your baby in a wrap or sling you can carry even a heavier child for longer periods of time without getting tired or hurting your arms and back. The wrap distributes the child’s weight evenly over your shoulders and hips. At the same time the wrap provides  a comfortable and secure hold which is important as long as the baby is not able to sit by herself/himself.

Two rings to turn your wrap into a ring sling.
