Rings for Slings
The rings are perfectly suited to turn your short DIDYMOS Baby Wrap (for example size 2) into a ring sling. You can use the rings to make a no-sew ring sling while you keep your wrap unchanged..
The rings allow for an easy tying and adjusting of the ring sling. Simply pull on the dangling tail end in order to get a perfect fit. The rings will securely hold and keep the fabric in any position you want.
Hold both rings in one hand and bring the fabric through them both
With the rings separated slightly, pull one fabric end back through the lower ring only, so that it is looped around the upper ring securely.
The short fabric end that was threaded through the ring should be abt 40 cm long.
Lay the tail end with the rings over over your shoulder and
make sure that the shorter end is underneath.
Lead the long fabric tail across your back and bring it to your front,
thread the fabric through the center of both rings
and then bring the fabric up again between the two rings, over the top ring and under the bottom ring.
The pouch you created in this way is ready to accomodate your child and it can easily be adjusted to adapt to your child.
Now open the pouch and slide your baby down inside of the sling.
and spread the fabric up over her or his back.Be careful that there is enough fabric under your child to create a nice, deep seat for her/him to sit in
Make sure your child is seated in the spread-squat position, legs spread and knees up, higher than his/her bottom
Once your child is seated in the sling you will need to adjust and to tighten the sling to make it more comfortable and secure. Hold your baby where you want her/him to be and then pull the side rails and the middle of the tail down to tighten the fabric around your child until she or he is snug and close to your body.
